Moschee
The Wilmersdorfer Moschee (historically also Berliner Moschee or Ahmadiyya-Moschee) is the oldest existent mosque in Germany. It was built between 1924 and 1928. Its style looks similar to Indian mausoleums or to the Taj Mahal. There are two minarets which go up to 32 meters and a dome which goes up to 26 meters and which has a 10-meter diameter. The prayer hall can contain up to 400 believers. It is possible to have a guided tour in the mosque in order to discover what is going on there. You need to call and get an appointment. From 2010, the Friday pray and the Chutba take regularly place again on Fridays in the mosque, beginning
at 1.00 pm. The mosque office is always open during the opening times. The mosque is also open for special occasions like for example the open doors of the mosque on the 3rd of October each year or for the buildings open doors.
